The Chaplet of the Seven Sorrows is made up of seven groups of seven beads, with a medal for each grouping depicting each of Mary’s Seven Sorrows. It originated in the thirteenth century with the Seven Founders of the Servite Order and is also known as the Servite Rosary. The mysteries include:

  1. The Prophecy of Simeon
  2. The Flight into Egypt
  3. The Three Day Separation from Jesus in Jerusalem
  4. Mary Meeting Christ on the Road to Calvary
  5. The Crucifixion and Death of Jesus
  6. The Removal of Jesus from the Cross
  7. The Burial of Jesus

Our Lady of Kibeho, a Church-approved Marian apparition that occurred in Rwanda in the 1980’s, especially emphasized the need to pray this rosary. It is usually made with black or dark beads to indicate sorrow, though we offer all our beads for the customer's choosing. Click "Our Parts Selection" in the menu bar above to see what each of the options looks like. If you want to order two or more different custom ladder rosaries, just enter what you want for the first one, add it to the cart, and come back to this listing and do it again. The cart will remember all of your selections.  Please note that this rosary is handmade to order, so please expect a wait time of 2-4 weeks unless "Rush it!" is selected. If you rush order, please indicate in the notes at checkout when you would like to receive it.

    Pros:
    Cons:
I am an Anglican-Catholic ordained Chaplain. This rosary is the best representation of my spirituality for both faith traditions. It is an excellent product with superior craftsmanship. I have owned it for several years and wear it around my neck. It was custom made for me with onyx beads and shows no signs of wear. Wearing it wards off evil, and connects me with the Holy Spirit.
