This is the title given to Mary as patron of the Carmelite Order.
The Carmelites first began as hermits at Mount Carmel in the Holy Land.
The strongest devotion to Our Lady of Mount Carmel is through the
Brown Scapular, which Our Lady is said to have given St. Simon Stock,
the founder of the Carmelites. Our Lady told him, “Take this Scapular.
Whosoever dies wearing it shall not suffer eternal fire. It shall be a
sign of salvation, a protection in danger and pledge of peace.”
The Our Lady of Mount Carmel Rosary is made with faceted Tortoise
Czech glass Hail Mary beads, white glass pearl Our Father beads a Mt.
Carmel Center, a Mt. Carmel medal and a Trinity Crucifix. The Trinity
Crucifix recalls the strong devotion of the Carmelites to each person of
the Blessed Trinity.
