St. Peter was an Apostle to whom Jesus entrusted leadership over the entire Church.  Through his successors, the popes, he continues to exercise this authority.  This rosary is meant to reflect on the first time that St. Peter met Jesus in Luke 5.  Jesus was preaching on the shore of the Lake of Gennesaret when the crowds began to press in on him.  Going to Peter's boat, Jesus asked him to put out a little ways from the shore to give him room.  When he was finished teaching, he told Peter "Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch."  Peter replied that they had been fishing all night but had caught nothing.  "But at your word I will let down the nets."  This act of faith resulted in a miraculous catch of fish so large that the nets were tearing, Peter had to call for St. James and St. John for help, and it filled both of the boats so completely that they began to sink. Overwhelmed by what he was seeing, he fell down at Jesus' knees and said "Depart from me Lord, for I am a sinful man."  Jesus told him that from then on he would be a fisher of men.  Peter, his brother Andrew, and their friends James and John left everything and followed Jesus.

This rosary uses aqua czech glass for the Our Father Beads to remind one of the sea.  Vitrail czech glass, which has a predominantly silver look but flashes other colors, is used to look like the miraculous catch of fish.  The Ornate Sacred Heart center is appropriate because the miraculous catch and the call for Peter to be a fisher of men come from the tender heart of Jesus.  The Papal Crucifix is used to signify Peter's future role as the first pope.  The rosary is completed by a St. Peter medal.

This rosary has the option of faceted or round beads.
